Abstract
A monitoring and control apparatus adapted to monitor the combustion of each individual burner in a furnace. It includes at least one laser for providing a beam through a flame of a burner in a furnace, and at least one detector for detecting the beams after they pass through or near the flame. The electronics unit then causes the control unit to adjust the fuel, primary air and secondary air feeds for each individual burner.
